About DivanDreams

DivanDreams is a small, independent sofa store with one focus: modular sofas that look good and hold up to real life — pets, kids, spills, and long evenings on the couch — at a price that doesn't require financing.

Why this store exists

In late 2024 I lost my job. I'd wanted to start something of my own for years, so I stopped waiting. I have a dog, so when I came across a manufacturer making modular sofas with solid wood frames, foam-and-down cushions, and covers that go in a washing machine, the idea stuck. I went through their construction details and real customer reviews, asked a lot of questions, and opened DivanDreams in January 2025.

Straight answers

Are you the manufacturer? No. We're a retailer. Every collection on this site is made by one manufacturer we chose for its construction, materials, and washable-cover design, and sold under our own collection names — Nephele, Nimbus, Lumina, Classica, and Teddy.

Where are the sofas made, and where do they ship from? They're made overseas and stocked in warehouses inside the US. Your order ships domestically via FedEx or UPS and arrives in 3–7 business days, not 6–8 weeks.

Do you have a showroom? No, and that's part of why the prices are what they are. We send free fabric swatches so you can see the color and feel the fabric before ordering. If the color still isn't right when the sofa arrives, we'll exchange the fabric for free within 30 days.

What if something arrives damaged? Email photos within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace the affected piece free. Because the sofas are modular, that usually means one box, not a whole sofa.

Can I return it? Yes — within 30 days, as long as it's unused, unassembled, and in its original packaging. That's why we recommend ordering swatches first: the fabric exchange is free, but a return means repacking.

How new are you? New. We opened in 2025 and we're growing one order at a time. What we can promise is that every email gets a real answer from a real person within one business day.

Our standards

Every collection has to meet the same list before it goes on the site:

• Solid wood frame with sturdy wooden legs
• Seat cushions filled with high-resilience foam and a down-cotton blend, so they're soft to sit on and keep their shape
• Back and arm pillows filled with a down-cotton blend
• Removable, machine-washable covers on every seat, back, and arm piece, with replacement cover sets available separately
• Fully modular — pieces clip together, come apart, and can be added to or replaced individually
• Ships in separate boxes that fit through a normal doorway, with no tools beyond a screwdriver for the legs
• Stocked in the US, so it arrives in days

What you can count on

• Free shipping to the 48 contiguous states
• 30-day returns on unused, unassembled items in original packaging
• Free fabric exchange within 30 days, one per order
• 5-year warranty on the frame, legs, and connectors; 1 year on cushions, fill, and covers
• Damaged or missing on arrival: replaced free, no claim forms
• A reply from a real person within one business day
